Brookhaven Headlines All-DAC Selections

Dallas College Brookhaven's Ava Little was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, Natalia Banda was voted the Defender of the Year and Miranda Estrada the Goalkeeper of the Year.

Alex Denning was named the league Coach of the Year.

Emma StewartAriana Chavira and Alyssa Young joined Little, Banda and Estrada as First Team All-DAC selections.

Justine Garnica and Stephanie Lopez were Second Team All-DAC picks.

Little had six goals and 12 assists for a team-best 24 points. She scored two goals in two games.

Banda had a goal and an assist for eight points, and keyed the back line that posted 12 shutouts.

Estrada went 14-1-2 with nine solo shutouts and three combined clean sheets, a 0.46 goals against average and .829 saves percentage.

Chavira had eight goals and five assists for 21 points.

Stewart scored six goals, and had four assists for 16 points.

Garnica led the team with nine goals, and had five assists for 23 points.

Lopez had three goals and four assists for 10 points.

Denning guided the No. 2-ranked Bears to a 14-1-2 overall and 10-0-0 DAC record. Brookhaven won the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District title.

The Bears will compete in the NJCAA Division III Tournament in Herkimer, New York Nov. 11-16.
