Rondeau, Noriega earn WJCAC honors

Marie Rondeau of Midland College and Adelina Noriega of Midland College were named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week.

A sophomore from St. Lazare in Quebec City, Rondeau is the WJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

She went 1-0 this week. In her outing, she recorded a no-hitter and struck out 9 batters in seven innings in the circle.

A sophomore first baseman from Tuscon, AZ, Noriega is the WJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week, Overall, she batted .765 with 2 doubles, 3 home runs and 11 RBI. She also scored 10 runs and drew 6 walks.
