Cornejo named WJCAC Softball Player of the Week

Alexys Cornejo of Midland College is the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week.

A freshman third baseman from Andrews, Texas, Cornejo was tabbed the WJCAC Position Player of the Week. Overall, she batted .600 with 1 double, 3 home runs and 7 runs batted bin. She also drew 2 walks.

The WJCAC did not select a Pitcher of the Week.
