Odessa men's golf ranked No. 1 in the nation

The Odessa College Wrangler golf team is ranked No. 1 in the first NJCAA Golf Coaches Poll.

Hall of Fame Golf Coach, Paul Chavez has the Wranglers off to a tremendous start, winning 2 of the first 3 events of the season. The Wranglers are led by returning All-American, Adam Blomme', who is off to a great start. Blomme' has won 2 Individual titles and finished runner-up in the other (3 events). Blomme' also leads all NJCAA players with an outstanding 65.75 scoring average.

Sophomore Van Thomas is ranked No. 3 with a scoring average of 67.67 (just returned from an injury). Freshman Parker Beaty is ranked No. 4 with a 68.88 scoring average. Returning All-American Augustin Hole' is ranked No. 12 with a 70.25 scoring average. And Dustin Lewis is ranked No. 20 with a 71.13 scoring average.

The Odessa College Wrangler Golf team is working towards its 9th National Championship in program history.
