Hartwig, Manuel claim WJCAC Baseball honors

Bach Hartwig of Odessa College and Ty Manuel of Odessa College were named the Western Junior College Baseball Players of the Week.

A freshman second baseman from Keller, Texas, Hartwig is the WJCAC Position Player of the Week. Last week, he batted .437 with 2 home runs, 4 RBI abd 5 runs scored.

A redshirt freshman from Cypress, Texas, Manuel is the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week. He tossed a complete game in which he faced just 27 batters. For the week, he was 1-0 with 13 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Opposing hitters managed just 5 hits.
