Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Feb. 12-18)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-18.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Shannon Bogues of McLennan Community College. The 6-2 sophomore guard from Killeen, TX led McLennan with 26 points in the Highlanders' 84-78 win over Hill College. He shot 66.7 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range and was 6 of 6 from the free throw line.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference is Jordan Brangers of South Plains College. The 6-2 sophomore guard from Radcliff, KY had 61 points and 11 rebounds last week in two games played. He scored a career-high 38 points against New Mexico Military Institute including 10 of 15 shooting from beyond the 3-point line.

The Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week is JJ Murray of Eastfield College. The 6-0 freshman point guard from Rowlett, TX scored 42 points last week and added 10 rebounds and 12 assists in two games played. He was 22 of 28 from the free throw line.
