Jenkins claims NTJCAC Baseball Player of the Week awards

Samuel Jenkins of McLennan Community College was selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Baseball Player of the Week.

A freshman outfielder from Dallas, Texas, Jenkins was named the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week.

Overall, he batted .700 for the Highlanders during the week with 2 doubles, 3 home runs and 6 RBI. Hr also scored 4 runs and had 2 stolen bases. He started the week by going 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 homers in a 176 run-rule win over Iowa Western. He followed that by going 3-for-5 with 1 homer and 2 stolen bases in a 9-8 walk-off win over Iowa Western in 10 innings.
