Brown, Lachance claim NTJCAC Player of the Week honors

Jayden Brown of Ranger College and Deiten Lachance of McLennan Community College were named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week.

A freshman leftfielder from Brookeville, MD, Brown was Co-Position Player of the Week. He batted .667 last week with 2 RBI and 7 runs scored with an on-base percentage of .700. Overall, he was 10-for-15 from the plate, with 3 walks and 5 stolen bases.

A sophomore catcher from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Lachance shared the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors. He hit .529 for the week with 3 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 RBI. He also scored 7 runs, drew 2 walks and had 3 stolen bases.
