NTJCAC Baseball Player of the Week (April 30-May 6)

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has announced its Baseball Player of the Week selection for April 30 - May 6.

The NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week are Xander McAfee of McLennan Community College and Davin Ronquist of Weatherford College.

A freshman righthander from Cincinnati, OH, Ronquist was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. He notched a win and a save for the Coyotes while working 6,1 innings in relief. On Wednesday, he pitched five scoreless innings in relief to claim a victory. He came back on Saturday to collect a save in Weatherford's regular-season finale. In his two appearances, he did allowed just one hit and no earned runs.

A freshman outfielder from Fort Worth, McAfee starred for the Highlanders, batting .500 with two doubles, two homers and seven RBI. In Game 1 of the Coyotes win over Hill, he went 1-for-3 with a homer and four runs batted in. In Game 2, he went 2-for-3. In the Highlanders' final doubleheader on Saturday, he went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. In the finale of the 4-game series, he went 2-for-4 with a homer.
