WJCAC Baseball Players of the Week (April 2-8)

The WJCAC Baseball Players of the Week are Robert DeJesus of Clarendon College and Reese Bassinger of Odessa College.

A freshman outfielder from the Dominican Republic, DeJesus nabbed the WJCAC Position Player of the Week honors by leading the Bulldogs to a four-game sweep of Howard College by turning in a sensational week. He finished with an on-base percentage of .524 with a Slugging percentage of .947 while battling .474. During the week, he amassed a double, a triple, two homers and drove in 11 runs. He also drew a pair of walks and scored six runs.

A sophomore from Wylie, Texas, Bassinger was the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a six-inning shutout against New Mexico Military. Overall, he held NMMI to just three hits, while striking out eight.
