Sindalawa, Mboup claim WJCAC Basketball honors
Armanda Sindalawa of Clarendon College and Mor Mboup of Frank Phillips College have been selected the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Basketball Players of the Week.
A 5-11 sophomore guard from Luanda, Angola, Sindalawa is the WJCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 21 points, 9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game while leading Clarendon College to a 2-0 week. She shot 62.9% from the field including 45.4% from 3-point range and 100% from the FT Line. Overall, she was 20-for-30 from the floor, hit three of her five 3-point attempts and grabbed 27 rebounds, while dishing out 30 assists and coming away with 20 steals. She also blocked two shots
A 6-8 sophomore center from Dakar, Senegal, Mboup is the WJCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. He had 12 points and 8 rebounds (3 offensive) on 5-10 shooting against Ranger. He also had 12 points and 10 rebounds (5 offensive) on 6-6 shooting against Strength N' Motion.
