Nunley, Blackshear claim NTJCAC Players of the Week honors

Alisha Nunley of Collin College and Rontavious Blackshear of McLennan Community College were selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Players of the Week.

A 5-5 sophomore guard from Euless, Texas, Nunley was the NTJCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 27 points in two road wins over Weatherford and Temple last week. In her two games, she went 20-for-42 from the field, including 6-of-14 from behind the three-point arc. She also had 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and a blocked shot.

A 6-6 sophomore guard from Atlanta, Georgia, Blackshear was the NTJCAC Men's Basketball Player.of the Week. En route to helping the Highlanders to 86-61 win over Weatherford, he went 9-for-14 from the field, including 4-for-8 from three-point range, and went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe for 26 points. He also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
